Buford Foote IIIMay 24, 1961 ~ May 7, 2017 (age 55)
Buford Sylvester Foote III affectionately known as "Third" was born May 24, 1961 in Winston-Salem, NC and passed away from lung cancer on May 7, 2017. Third was born and raised in Winston-Salem. He graduated from East Forsyth High School in 1979 and attended Winston-Salem State University. A star athlete, Third played basketball in High School and College.
After school, Third moved north to New York briefly and to Maryland where he resided until his death. Third enjoyed a lifetime career as an Entrepreneur in Sales and Home Improvements. He was very friendly, loving and gifted with natural charisma that enabled him to become a top Salesman and a Master Builder. Third was also a talented artist who painted in his spare time. He would sell his art to family members and friends for a small token of the true value.
He is pre-deceased by his mother (Alinda McCoy Alston), step-mother (Claudia Rucker Foote), Paternal grandparents (Sylvester and Ola Mae Martin Foote), maternal grandparents (Birden and Lovie McCoy), and uncles (Ralph and Rickie Foote).
He is survived by his son, Buford (Bo) Sylvester Foote IV, his father, Buford Sylvester Foote, Jr., his sister Bonita Foote Scarbrough (Mike), brother, Montee Foote (Aisha), and sister Tonya Foote Little (Chuck). He also leaves to cherish his memory, two nieces (Tania Little and Rigel Moore); and three nephews (Caleb Foote, Elijah Foote and Orion Moore). Also surviving is a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and special friends. His memory will be cherished by all who loved him. A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, May 14, 2017 at the Winston Salem Hotel and Spa at 3:00pm.
